What Happened
The sunroof glass in your Audi is the transparent panel above your head. In some 2007-2009 A8 and S8 models, this glass isn't properly attached to the roof frame, which could cause it to fly off while driving.
Risk if Unfixed
If the sunroof glass detaches while you're driving, it could become a hazard on the road. This increases the risk of a collision with the loose glass, which could lead to serious harm or damage.
Free Fix
Your Audi dealer will add extra adhesive between the sunroof glass and frame to secure it properly, and this repair is completely free. You should schedule the repair as soon as you receive the recall notice.

Original — What Happened
Volkswagen Group of America, Inc. (Volkswagen) is recalling certain model year 2007-2009 Audi A8 and S8 vehicles. The sunroof glass on the affected vehicles may not be properly secured to the sunroof frame. As a result, the sunroof glass may detach from the car while driving.
Original — Risk if Unfixed
If the glass detaches from the sunroof frame it could be come a road hazard, increasing the risk of a crash.
Original — Remedy
Volkswagen will notify owners, and dealers will install additional adhesive between the sunroof glass and frame, free of charge. The recall is expected to begin in August 4, 2016. Owners may contact Audi customer service at 1-800-253-2834. Volkswagen's number for this recall is 60C3.
