ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING:ENGINE:GASOLINE:TURBO/SUPERCHARGER

Manufacturer
Volkswagen Group of America, Inc.
What Happened
The turbocharger in your Audi is the part that helps your engine get a boost of power. The strainer that supplies oil to this turbocharger can clog up, causing damage to its moving parts.
Risk if Unfixed
If the strainer clogs, the moving parts inside the turbocharger will wear out, and the engine may stall. This could make it hard to control your vehicle, especially on the highway, and increase the chance of a crash.
Free Fix
Your Audi dealer will replace the strainer and change your oil for you - all at no cost. You should schedule the repair as soon as you get the recall notice.

FUEL SYSTEM, GASOLINE:DELIVERY:HOSES, LINES/PIPING, AND FITTINGS

Manufacturer

What Happened
The fuel supply line in your Audi A8 or S8 is a tube that carries fuel to the engine. It might develop tiny holes, allowing fuel to escape.
Risk if Unfixed
If the fuel line leaks, it could spill gas near the engine. If there's a spark, the fuel could ignite, causing a fire.
Free Fix
Your Audi dealer will add a special component to your fuel system, called a fuel pressure damper, to prevent leaks. This repair is free, and you'll be notified when it's time to bring your vehicle in.
