FUEL SYSTEM, GASOLINE Safety Recalls

Critical #19V057000 Plain English
Component

FUEL SYSTEM, GASOLINE:DELIVERY:HOSES, LINES/PIPING, AND FITTINGS

Manufacturer
Volkswagen Group of America, Inc.
What Happened
The fuel supply line in your Audi A8 or S8 is a crucial tube that carries high-pressure fuel from the pump to the engine. Over time, this tube can develop tiny holes, allowing fuel to escape.
Risk if Unfixed
If the fuel line starts leaking near a heat source, like the engine or exhaust system, it could ignite the fuel and cause a fire, potentially putting you and others at risk.
Free Fix
Your Audi dealer will install a device called a fuel pressure damper to prevent fuel leaks, and this repair is completely free. You should schedule the fix as soon as possible to ensure your safety on the road.
