AIR BAGS:FRONTAL

Manufacturer
Volkswagen Group of America, Inc.
What Happened
The front passenger air bag in your Audi S8 or A8 is designed to protect you in a crash. In some 2022-2023 models, the air bag wasn't installed correctly, which could affect how it deploys.
Risk if Unfixed
If there's a crash and the air bag deploys with too much force, it could seriously hurt a child or small person who's not buckled in and sitting close to the dashboard.
Free Fix
Your Audi dealer will replace the faulty air bag module with a new one that deploys safely and correctly – at no cost to you. You'll get a recall notice in the mail on April 14, 2023, and you should schedule the repair as soon as possible.

BACK OVER PREVENTION: SENSING SYSTEM: CAMERA

Manufacturer
Volkswagen Group of America, Inc.
What Happened
The rearview camera system in your Audi is the system that shows you what's behind your vehicle when you're in reverse. In some 2019-2026 models, the software that controls this system can malfunction, causing the image to not display as intended.
Risk if Unfixed
If the rearview camera image doesn't show up, you'll have a reduced view of the area behind your vehicle, which could increase the risk of a crash when you're backing up.
Free Fix
Your Audi dealer will update the camera system's software to fix the issue, and this repair is completely free. You should schedule the update as soon as you get the recall notice.
