What Happened
The seal around your Audi's engine compartment is a protective barrier that keeps hot engine parts from touching other components. In some 2013-2018 S8 and A8 models, this seal can come loose and get too close to hot parts.
Risk if Unfixed
If the seal touches a hot engine component, it could cause a fire. This is a serious issue that requires immediate attention to prevent damage to your vehicle.
Free Fix
Your Audi dealer will install a retaining plate to keep the engine compartment seal in place, preventing it from coming loose and getting too close to hot parts. This repair is free of charge, and you should schedule it as soon as possible.
