FUEL SYSTEM, GASOLINE:STORAGE:TANK ASSEMBLY

Manufacturer
Honda (American Honda Motor Co.)
What Happened
Your Acura ILX has a fuel tank that stores the gasoline in your car. In some 2014-2019 models, the tank's shape might be slightly deformed, which can cause the fuel pump to get stuck, giving you an inaccurate reading on your fuel gauge.
Risk if Unfixed
If the fuel gauge says you have more gas than you really do, you could run out of fuel while driving, and your engine will stall. This could make it hard to control your vehicle and increase the chance of a crash.
Free Fix
Your Acura dealer will inspect the fuel tank and replace it if it's deformed, all at no cost to you. You'll be notified when it's time to schedule the repair.
