Manufacturer
Honda (American Honda Motor Co.)
What Happened
The brake master cylinder in your Acura ILX is a critical part that helps control your brakes. It's located near the brake fluid reservoir and is responsible for sending brake pressure to your wheels. Unfortunately, contaminated brake fluid can cause a seal inside the master cylinder to deform.
Risk if Unfixed
If the seal deforms, it can cause a brake fluid leak, reducing your brake function. This means it could take longer to stop when you press the brake pedal, increasing the risk of a crash or injury.
Free Fix
Your Acura dealer will replace the brake master cylinder with a new one at no cost to you. This repair is essential to ensure your safety on the road, and you should schedule it as soon as possible.
