What Happened
The brake master cylinder in your Acura ILX is a crucial part that helps you slow down. It's the component that distributes brake fluid to your vehicle's brakes. Unfortunately, contaminated brake fluid can cause a seal inside the cylinder to deform, which can lead to a leak.
Risk if Unfixed
If the brake master cylinder leaks, you might need to press the brake pedal harder or more often to stop, which can increase the distance required to stop your vehicle. This could lead to a crash or injury.

POWER TRAIN:DRIVELINE:DRIVESHAFT

Manufacturer
Honda (American Honda Motor Co.)
What Happened
The driveshaft in your ILX is the long rod that connects your transmission to the wheels. In some 2016-2019 models, excessive grease can prevent the driveshaft from locking properly, causing it to detach from the half shaft.

Manufacturer
Honda (American Honda Motor Co.)
What Happened
Your Acura ILX has a fuel tank that stores the gasoline in your car. In some 2014-2019 models, the tank's shape might be slightly deformed, which can cause the fuel pump to get stuck, giving you an inaccurate reading on your fuel gauge.

Free Fix
Your Acura dealer will inspect the fuel tank and replace it if it's deformed, all at no cost to you. You'll be notified when it's time to schedule the repair.
