Component

VISIBILITY:DEFROSTER/DEFOGGER/HVAC SYSTEM

Manufacturer
VOLVO CARS OF N.A. LLC.
What Happened
The climate control system in your vehicle uses a computer to control heat, defrost, and other functions. In some 2008 Sport Utility models, this computer can malfunction and shut down the defroster and other climate controls when you start your engine.
Risk if Unfixed
If this happens, you'll lose control over your defroster and other climate functions, even in cold or rainy weather. This could make it hard to see clearly while driving, which could lead to an accident and injury.
Free Fix
Your Volvo dealer will update the engine control software to fix this issue, and the repair is free. You should contact your dealer to schedule the update as soon as possible.
