Component
VISIBILITY:DEFROSTER/DEFOGGER/HVAC SYSTEM
Manufacturer
VOLVO CARS OF N.A. LLC.
What Happened
The climate control module in your vehicle controls your defroster, heating, and cooling. In certain situations, it might not get the signal it needs from the engine, so your defroster won't work during that drive.
Risk if Unfixed
If your defroster isn't working, you'll have poor visibility in the rain or snow. This could lead to reduced visibility, which might cause an accident and put you and others at risk of injury.
Free Fix
Your Volvo dealer will update the software in your engine control module, and it's completely free. You should schedule the repair as soon as possible.
