What Happened
The master cylinder is the part that helps control your brakes' fluid flow. Certain Cardone master cylinders, which were installed in some vehicles as replacement parts, have a seal that can fail and leak brake fluid.
Risk if Unfixed
If the seal fails, brake fluid will leak out, and you'll experience poor braking performance. This could lead to a vehicle crash, which is a serious safety risk.
Free Fix
Your dealer will notify you, and you'll have the option to have the defective master cylinder repurchased by Cardone, free of charge. You should contact them at 1-800-777-4780 to initiate the process.
