The water pump in your vehicle is a part that helps keep your engine cool. In certain aftermarket water pumps, the pulley or sprocket that turns the timing belt might develop tiny cracks and break, causing the timing belt to fail.
Risk if Unfixed
If the timing belt fails, your engine might suddenly shut down while you're driving. This could lead to a loss of power and potentially increase the risk of a collision.
Free Fix
Your dealer will replace the faulty water pump with a new one, at no cost to you. You'll be notified by the manufacturer, and you should schedule the repair as soon as you receive the notice.
