The water pump in your car helps keep your engine cool by circulating coolant. In some aftermarket water pumps sold by Gates, the part that turns the timing belt might crack and break, causing a bigger problem.
Risk if Unfixed
If this happens, your timing belt could fail, and your engine will suddenly shut down. This could cause a crash, especially if you're driving at a high speed.
Free Fix
Your dealer will replace the faulty water pump with a new one at no charge. You'll get a notification from Gates, and you should schedule the repair as soon as possible to keep your engine running safely.
