SUSPENSION:FRONT:CONTROL ARM:UPPER ARM
What Happened
The control arm in your vehicle is a metal piece that helps connect the front suspension to the body of the car. In some cases, the bracket that holds it in place might not have been welded correctly.
Risk if Unfixed
If this bracket fails, your control arm could slowly come loose and eventually separate. This could make your vehicle harder to control, and you might even lose control of it while driving. You might hear loud metallic knocking sounds coming from the front of the car as the bracket loosens.
Free Fix
Your dealer will inspect the bracket and replace the control arm if the welding is not up to standard, all at no cost to you.
