WHEELS:LUGS/NUTS/BOLTS/STUDS

What Happened
The lug nuts on your vehicle's wheels are the bolts that keep the wheels securely attached. In some 2021 Atlas, Atlas Cross Sport, and Passat models, these bolts might not have been tightened correctly.
Risk if Unfixed
If the bolts loosen while you're driving, your wheels could come loose, making it harder to control your vehicle. This could cause a crash.
Free Fix
Your Volkswagen dealer will check the tightness of the wheel bearing bolts and replace them if necessary, all for free. You should schedule the repair as soon as possible after receiving the recall notice.
