Component

ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING:EXHAUST SYSTEM:MANIFOLD/HEADER/MUFFLER/TAIL PIPE

Manufacturer
Southeast Toyota Distributors, LLC
What Happened
The exhaust tip on your 4Runner is the part that helps direct exhaust gases away from the vehicle. Some aftermarket exhaust tips installed by Southeast Toyota Distributors may protrude too far and could potentially burn you if you're standing behind the vehicle.
Risk if Unfixed
If you touch the exhaust tip, you could get burned, which could cause serious injury.
Free Fix
Your dealer will replace the exhaust tip with a redesigned, safer one that's recessed behind the bumper – and it's free. You should schedule the repair as soon as you get the recall notice.
