Component
ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING
Manufacturer
TOYOTA MOTOR NORTH AMERICA, INC.
What Happened
Your vehicle's fuel delivery pipes are made of aluminum and can corrode when exposed to low-moisture ethanol fuel. This can cause problems with the engine's performance.
Risk if Unfixed
If the corrosion gets bad enough, it can cause a small hole to form, leading to a fuel leak. If that leak finds an ignition source, it could start a fire.
Free Fix
You'll need to take your vehicle to a dealership, where they'll inspect and replace the fuel delivery pipes for free.
