Component
FUEL SYSTEM, GASOLINE:DELIVERY:FUEL PUMP
Manufacturer
Toyota Motor Engineering & Manufacturing
What Happened
The low-pressure fuel pump in your vehicle is a part that sends gasoline from the tank to your engine. In certain Lexus models, this pump can fail without warning.
Risk if Unfixed
If the pump fails while you're driving, your engine will stall — you'll lose power steering and power brakes. This could make it hard to control your vehicle and increase the chance of a crash.
Free Fix
Your Lexus dealer will replace the faulty fuel pump assembly with a new one, at no cost to you. You'll receive a letter with more information, and you should schedule the repair as soon as possible.
