VISIBILITY:REARVIEW MIRRORS/DEVICES
Manufacturer
Chrysler (FCA US, LLC)
What Happened
The rearview camera in your 2021 Jeep Grand Cherokee L uses a software update to send the camera image to your infotainment screen. However, a bug in the software might cause the image to not show up, reducing your view behind your vehicle.
Risk if Unfixed
If the rearview camera image doesn't display, you'll have a blindspot behind your vehicle, increasing the risk of a crash when reversing or changing lanes.
Free Fix
Your authorized Jeep dealer will update the software in your infotainment system for free. This update should be done as soon as you schedule it after receiving your recall notice.
