Component
ELECTRICAL SYSTEM:IGNITION:MODULE
Manufacturer
CHRYSLER GROUP LLC
What Happened
The wireless ignition node module in your vehicle controls the ignition switch and helps you shift your transmission into park. In some 2010 models, this module can get stuck, causing problems with the ignition switch.
Risk if Unfixed
If this happens, you might accidentally leave your key in the ignition when you shift into park, which could lead to the vehicle moving unexpectedly. This could increase the risk of a crash.
Free Fix
Your dealership will inspect and replace the faulty ignition module for free. You should schedule the repair as soon as you get the recall notice, and it will be done at no cost to you.
