FORD MOTOR COMPANY
What Happened
The wiper linkage is the part that connects your windshield wipers to the control system. In some cases, the ball socket that holds it together can break, causing your wipers to stop working suddenly.
Risk if Unfixed
If this happens while you're driving, you could lose your windshield wipers entirely, or just the driver's side wiper. This could make it harder to see the road and increase the risk of a crash.
Free Fix
Your dealer will check the wiper module and replace it if it's faulty – for free. You should schedule the repair as soon as you get the recall notice.
