What Happened
The Fuel Delivery Module (FDM) in your 2010-2012 Ford Escape or 2010-2011 Mercury Mariner is a crucial part that helps deliver fuel to your engine. In some cases, this module can crack and cause a leak.
Risk if Unfixed
If the FDM cracks, fuel can spill out and catch fire if it's near an ignition source. This could lead to a vehicle fire, which could be serious.
Free Fix
Ford will replace the faulty FDM flange with a redesigned one, free of charge. You'll get a notice when the new parts are available, and you'll schedule the repair with your dealer then.
