What Happened
The front driver's air bag in your vehicle is a safety feature that deploys to protect you in a crash. However, in some 2015-2016 Cadillac models, the air bag inflator could burst and send sharp metal fragments flying.
Risk if Unfixed
If the air bag inflator ruptures, it could hit you or your passengers, causing severe injury or even death.
Free Fix
Your Cadillac dealer will replace the faulty air bag module with a new one, at no cost to you. You'll get a notice when the repair is ready, and you can schedule it as soon as you can.

Original — What Happened
General Motors, LLC (GM) is recalling certain 2015 Cadillac Escalade, Escalade ESV, XTS, 2015-2016 Cadillac ATS, CTS, and SRX vehicles. The front-driver air bag inflator may rupture during deployment.
Original — Risk if Unfixed
An inflator rupture may result in sharp metal fragments striking the driver or other occupants, resulting in serious injury or death.
Original — Remedy
Dealers will replace the front-driver air bag module, free of charge. Interim letters notifying owners of the safety risk are expected to be mailed July 6, 2026. Additional letters will be mailed once the remedy is available. Owners may contact Cadillac customer service at 1-800-333-4223. The manufacturer's number for this recall is N262555870.
