What Happened
The airbag in your driver's side is a safety device that deploys in a crash to cushion your body. In some 2015-2016 Cadillac models, the airbag's inflator could fail and rupture during deployment.
Risk if Unfixed
If the airbag inflator ruptures, it could spray sharp metal fragments towards you or your passengers, causing serious injury or even death.
Free Fix
Your Cadillac dealer will replace the faulty airbag module with a new one, at no cost to you. You'll get a letter from GM explaining the issue and the fix, and you should schedule the repair as soon as you can.
