What Happened
The rear axle pinion seal in your vehicle is like a seal around the axle shaft that keeps the gear oil inside. In some cases, this seal doesn't meet the right standards and could start leaking.
Risk if Unfixed
If the seal fails, your rear differential could give out, causing your vehicle to lose power and possibly making it harder to control. This increases the risk of a crash.
Free Fix
Your dealer will replace the faulty pinion seal with a new one at no cost to you. You should schedule this repair as soon as you get the recall notice.
