What Happened
The anti-pinching device in your power windows helps prevent your window from closing on your fingers. In certain vehicles, this device might not work correctly.
Risk if Unfixed
If the device fails, you or a passenger could get hurt when a window closes suddenly while you're trying to roll it up.
Free Fix
Your authorized BMW dealer will inspect the device and replace it if necessary, at no cost to you. Schedule the service as soon as you get the recall notice and make sure to get the fix done within a reasonable time.

OWNERS WHO TAKE THEIR VEHICLES TO AN AUTHORIZED DEALER ON AN AGREED UPON SERVICE DATE AND DO NOT RECEIVE THE FREE REMEDY WITHIN A REASONABLE TIME SHOULD CONTACT BMW AT 1-800-831-1117.
