What Happened
The master cylinder is a critical part of your vehicle's brake system. It helps control the flow of brake fluid when you press the brake pedal. In some cases, the seal on your master cylinder can fail, allowing brake fluid to leak out.
Risk if Unfixed
If the seal fails, you could lose brake fluid, which can lead to poor braking performance. This could make it harder to stop your vehicle, increasing the risk of a crash.
Free Fix
Your dealer will notify you and offer to replace the defective master cylinder with a new one, free of charge. This is a one-time repair, and you should contact Cardone at 1-800-777-4780 to schedule the fix.

What Happened
The passenger side air bag in your vehicle is the safety device that deploys to cushion the passenger in case of a crash. Free Fix
Your BMW dealer will replace the faulty passenger air bag with a safe one, at no cost to you. Don't drive your vehicle until you've scheduled the repair, which will be done as soon as replacement parts are available in July.
