Component
EXTERIOR LIGHTING:TAIL LIGHTS
Manufacturer
BMW OF NORTH AMERICA, LLC
What Happened
The lights at the back of your car help other drivers see your intentions. On some 2002-2005 325I, 325XI, 330I, and 330XI models, the electrical connections in the tail lights can wear out over time and stop working.
Risk if Unfixed
If the lights behind your car fail to work correctly, other drivers might not see your brake lights, turn signals, or tail lights. This could cause a collision without warning.
Free Fix
Your BMW dealer will repair the electrical connections to ensure your tail lights work properly, and they'll do it for free. You should schedule an appointment as soon as you get the recall notice.
