What Happened

The passenger air bag in your vehicle is designed to protect the person sitting in the passenger seat. However, in certain BMW models, the air bag could burst apart and send sharp metal fragments flying towards the passenger.

Risk if Unfixed

If the air bag ruptures during a crash, the sharp metal fragments could seriously injure the person in the passenger seat or other passengers in the vehicle.
