Component
FUEL SYSTEM, GASOLINE:STORAGE
Manufacturer
Volkswagen Group of America, Inc.
What Happened
The vent pipe in your Q3's fuel tank helps prevent fuel spills when you fill up. In some 2021-2022 models, this pipe might have been damaged during assembly.
Risk if Unfixed
If the vent pipe is damaged, fuel could spill out when you open the fuel cap. This could lead to an injury from slipping or tripping on the spilled fuel.
Free Fix
Your Audi dealer will check the vent pipe for damage and replace the charcoal canister and fuel tank if needed — all at no cost to you. They'll do this as soon as you schedule the repair after receiving the recall notice.
