BACK OVER PREVENTION: SENSING SYSTEM: CAMERA

Manufacturer
Volkswagen Group of America, Inc.
What Happened
The rearview camera in your vehicle is the camera that provides a view of what's behind your car when you're reversing. In certain 2021-2022 Audi models, a software glitch might stop the camera image from showing up right away when you start reversing.
Risk if Unfixed
If the camera doesn't display an image, you'll have a reduced view of what's behind your vehicle, making it harder to see pedestrians, other cars, or obstacles — which could lead to a crash.
Free Fix
Your Audi dealer will update the software in your infotainment system for free, so you'll get the rearview camera image working properly when you reverse. This repair is complimentary, and you should set up the appointment as soon as you receive the recall notice.
