AIR BAGS:SENSOR:OCCUPANT CLASSIFICATION:FRONT PASSENGER

Manufacturer
Volkswagen Group of America, Inc.
What Happened
The front passenger air bag in your vehicle relies on a sensor to know if someone is sitting in the passenger seat. In some 2023-2024 models, this sensor connection can come loose and disable the air bag.
Risk if Unfixed
If the air bag doesn't deploy in a crash, you're at a higher risk of serious injury, especially to the front passenger. This could lead to severe harm or even death.
Free Fix
Your Audi dealer will replace the faulty sensor control module for the front passenger air bag system at no cost to you. You should schedule the repair as soon as you receive the recall notice.

If the rearview camera isn't displaying an image, you'll have a blind spot while reversing, which could lead to a crash when you back up.
Free Fix
Your dealer will update the camera control unit software for free, so you can see what's behind your vehicle when you reverse. You'll get a notice in the mail, and once the parts are available, you can schedule the repair at no cost to you.
