What Happened
A critical component in your vehicle's steering system, the belt pulley, may not be working properly due to a production deviation, which can cause the circlip to get stuck.
Risk if Unfixed
If the circlip detaches, it could get caught on other parts and cause the steering to lock, which can increase the risk of a crash.
Free Fix
Audi will notify you and replace your steering rack free of charge, so you don't need to do anything except wait for their notification and schedule a free repair at a dealership.

Volkswagen Group of America, Inc. (Audi) is recalling one 2019 Audi Q3 vehicle. Production deviation in the belt pully can prevent the circlip from properly engaging the steering rack.
Original — Risk if Unfixed
The circlip can detach and catch on surrounding components, causing the steering system to lock and increasing the risk of a crash.
Original — Remedy
Audi will notify the owner, and a dealer will replace the steering rack, free of charge. The recall was completed February 28, 2021. Owners may contact Audi customer service at 1-800-253-2834. Audi's number for this recall is 48P7.

TIRES:PRESSURE MONITORING AND REGULATING SYSTEMS

What Happened
The tire pressure monitoring system in your vehicle is designed to alert you to low tire pressure. In some affected models, this system might not detect a sudden drop in pressure across all four tires in time.
Risk if Unfixed
If your tire pressure suddenly drops to zero while driving, you could lose control of your vehicle, increasing the risk of a serious crash.
Free Fix
Your authorized Volkswagen or Audi dealer will update the tire pressure monitoring system software to ensure it works properly, at no cost to you. You should schedule the update as soon as you receive the recall notice.

Original — What Happened
Volkswagen Group of America, Inc. (Volkswagen) is recalling certain 2019 Volkswagen Tiguan LWB, Golf Sportswagen A7, Golf Alltrack, Golf R GP, Audi Q3, Audi A3 Cabriolet, 2019-2020 Jetta NF, Jetta GLI, Golf GTI, Atlas, Golf A7, Audi A3, 2020-2021 Atlas Cross Sport, and 2021 Atlas FL vehicles. The tire pressure monitoring system may not detect an air pressure loss in adequate time when deflating occurs among all four tires simultaneously. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 138, "Tire Pressure Monitoring Systems."

An undetected sudden loss of pressure in all four tires increases the risk of a crash.

Dealers will update the TPMS software, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed November 18, 2022. In a crash, the passenger air bag might not work correctly, and small plastic parts could enter the cabin, putting you at risk of getting hurt.
Free Fix
Audi will inspect and replace your instrument panel for free, if needed, and you'll be notified when it's time to bring your vehicle in.
