What Happened
The steering wheel retaining bolt in your Lincoln MKZ or Ford Fusion is the part that keeps your steering wheel securely attached. In certain 2014-2018 models, this bolt might come loose over time, allowing the steering wheel to come off.
Risk if Unfixed
If the steering wheel detaches while you're driving, you could lose control of your vehicle, and that increases the risk of a serious crash.
Free Fix
Your Ford dealer will replace the steering wheel bolt with a longer one to prevent this from happening, and it will be done at no cost to you.
