What Happened
Your vehicle's electric power steering assist system might shut down due to a faulty sensor, which could cause your steering to become harder to turn at low speeds.
Risk if Unfixed
If this happens, you'll need to use more effort to steer your vehicle, especially at slower speeds, which increases the risk of a crash.
Free Fix
Ford will notify you, and their dealers will fix the issue for free by either replacing the steering gear or updating the power steering control module's software, whichever is needed.

Original — What Happened
Ford Motor Company (Ford) is recalling certain model year 2011-2012 Ford Fusion vehicles without a 3.5L engine and Lincoln MKZ hybrid electric vehicles, 2011 Mercury Milan vehicles, 2011-2012 Ford Taurus, Ford Flex, Lincoln MKS, and Lincoln MKT vehicles equipped with a 3.5L GTDI engine and 2013 Ford Taurus, Ford Flex, Lincoln MKS, and Lincoln MKT vehicles equipped with any available engine. The affected vehicles have electric power steering assist systems that may shut down as a result of a steering motor sensor fault.
Original — Risk if Unfixed
If the vehicle experiences a loss of power steering assist, extra steering effort will be required at lower speeds, increasing the risk of a vehicle crash.
Original — Remedy
Ford will notify owners, and dealers will check the Power Steering Control Module (PSCM) for Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTC). If dealers find any loss of steering assist DTCs, the steering gear will be replaced, free of charge. If, no codes are found during the PSCM inspection, the PSCM software will be updated, free of charge. The recall began on July 21, 2015. Owners may contact Ford customer service at 1-866-436-7332. The driver's side air bag in your vehicle is a critical safety system that inflates in the event of a crash. Over time, the propellant inside this air bag can break down in hot and humid environments, leading to a potential explosion.

It also includes certain passenger-side air bag inflators and/or modules designed to fit 2005-2014 Ford Mustang, 2010-2012 Lincoln MKZ, 2010-2012 Ford Fusion, 2010-2011 Mercury Milan, 2007-2011 Ford Ranger, and 2007-2010 Lincoln MKX vehicles. What Happened

Ford Motor Company (Ford) is recalling certain 2010 Ford Fusion, Mercury Milan and 2010-2012 Lincoln MKZ vehicles that previously received a replacement passenger air bag under recall 16V-384, 17V-024 or 18V-046. In the event of a crash requiring deployment of the passenger air bag, the bracket that secures the air bag inflator to the module housing may deform, allowing the gas that inflates the air bag to leak out.

What Happened
The all-weather floor mat on the driver's side of your vehicle is designed to keep your feet dry and comfortable. However, in certain Ford, Mercury, or Lincoln models from 2006-2011, this mat may shift and get stuck under the accelerator pedal.
Risk if Unfixed
If the mat gets stuck under the pedal, it could stop the pedal from returning to its idle position, causing your vehicle to speed up unexpectedly. This could increase the risk of a crash if you're not able to control the vehicle's speed.
