What Happened
The driver's airbag in your vehicle is designed to protect you in the event of a crash. However, the inflator that makes the airbag deploy can fail due to age and environmental factors.
Risk if Unfixed
If the inflator explodes, it could send sharp metal fragments flying towards you and other passengers, potentially causing serious injury or even death.
Free Fix
Your Ford dealer will replace the faulty airbag inflator with a safer one, at no cost to you. They'll contact you with a notification, and you should schedule the repair as soon as you receive it.
