What Happened
The automatic transmission shift lever in your vehicle helps you switch between gears. In some 2016 Kia Sedona and Sorento models, this lever might not lock properly, allowing the vehicle to roll away.
Risk if Unfixed
If the lever doesn't lock, you could accidentally leave your vehicle in gear, and it could roll away. This increases the risk of a crash and injury.
Free Fix
Your Kia dealer will check and replace the faulty shift lever components, free of charge. You should schedule the repair as soon as you get the recall notice.
