The automatic transmission shift lever in your vehicle helps you switch between gears. In some 2016 Kia Sedona and Sorento models, this lever might not lock properly, allowing the vehicle to roll away.

The Smart Junction Box in your Sedona is a computer that helps your turn signals work. In some 2015-2017 models, this box might misread the signal you give it, causing your turn signal to flash in the opposite direction you intend.

Kia Motors America (Kia) is recalling certain 2015-2017 Sedona vehicles. The Smart Junction Box (SJB) software logic may not properly interpret the signals received from the multifunction switch, which could cause the turn signal to activate in the opposite direction of what the driver intended.

The Occupant Detection System (ODS) in your Sedona uses a wiring harness under the front passenger seat to know if someone is sitting there. Over time, this wiring harness can break if the seat is occupied by a child in a car seat.

If this happens, the airbag could deploy when it shouldn't, putting a child in the front seat at risk of injury during a crash.

Kia Motors America (Kia) is recalling certain 2015-2018 Sedona vehicles equipped with manually-adjusted front passenger seats. Over time, the Occupant Detection System (ODS) wiring harness located underneath the front passenger seat may break from the seat being occupied.

If a child is in a child seat in the front seat, a broken ODS wiring harness will not prevent the front passenger air bag from deploying in the event of a crash, increasing the risk of injury to the child.
