What Happened
The front seat heater elements in your 2001-2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee are designed to warm your seats, but in some cases, they can get too hot and fail.
Risk if Unfixed
If the heater elements overheat, it could cause a fire or lead to a serious burn injury.

Your authorized Chrysler dealer will replace the faulty heater elements with new ones at no cost to you. This repair is free, and you should schedule it as soon as possible.

CHRYSLER IS RECALLING 103,409 MY 2001-2004 JEEP GRAND CHEROKEE VEHICLES WITH HEATED SEATS AND WITH CHRYSLER RECALL NO. 06V-197 COMPLETED (03-04 MY) OR SEAT HEATER ELEMENTS SERVICE REPLACEMENT (01-02 MY). THE FRONT SEAT ELECTRIC HEATER ELEMENTS COULD OVERHEAT.
