What Happened
The brake master cylinder in your 2021 Accent is a crucial part that helps your vehicle stop by controlling the brake fluid. Unfortunately, some of these units had sharp edges that can damage the inner seal, reducing your brakes' effectiveness.
Risk if Unfixed
If the seal is damaged, your brake pedal might feel spongy or take longer to press down. This could make it harder to stop the vehicle, increasing the risk of a crash.
Free Fix
Your Hyundai dealer will replace the faulty brake master cylinder with a new one, free of charge. You should schedule the repair as soon as you receive the recall notice.
