What Happened
Your 2024 Ford Bronco may have a problem with the child safety lock on the left-side rear door. If this lock is turned on, the door can open from the inside of the vehicle.
Risk if Unfixed
If the child safety lock doesn't work properly, it can cause the rear door to open unexpectedly, increasing the risk of injury.
Free Fix
Ford will inspect and replace the rear door latch for free, at a dealership of your choice. You should contact Ford Customer Service at 1-866-436-7332 for more information and to schedule the repair, which is already being mailed to you.

Original — What Happened
Ford Motor Company (Ford) is recalling certain 2024 Bronco vehicles. The left-side rear door may be opened from the inside of the vehicle when the child safety lock is in the "ON" position.
Original — Risk if Unfixed
A malfunctioning child safety lock that allows a rear door to be opened unintentionally can increase the risk of injury.
Original — Remedy
Dealers will inspect the child safety locks and replace the rear door latch, as necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed on May 22, 2025. Owners may contact Ford Customer Service at 1-866-436-7332. Ford's number for this recall is 24S15. This recall expands previous recall number 24V-189.

What Happened
The child safety lock on your Bronco's left rear door is designed to keep kids from opening the door accidentally. In some 2023-2024 models, this lock might not work as intended, letting the door open unexpectedly.
Risk if Unfixed
If the child safety lock fails, the rear door could open while the vehicle is in motion, which could lead to a child falling out of the vehicle and getting hurt.
Free Fix
Your Ford dealer will inspect and replace the rear door latch if needed, at no cost to you, as soon as you receive and schedule the repair based on the recall notice you received on April 9, 2024.
