What Happened
The wiring harness in your Bronco's engine compartment is a bundle of wires that helps your engine run smoothly. In some 2021-2026 models, this wiring can get damaged and create sparks or heat.
Risk if Unfixed
If the wiring shorts out, it could cause a fire in the engine compartment. This is a serious issue that could severely damage your vehicle and put you at risk of a severe crash.
Free Fix
Your Ford dealer will wrap protective sheathing over the wiring to prevent damage, and this repair is completely free. You should schedule the repair as soon as you receive the recall notice, which will be mailed to you starting August 24, 2026.

Original — What Happened
Ford Motor Company (Ford) is recalling certain 2021-2026 Bronco and Bronco Raptor vehicles. The engine compartment wiring harness may become damaged and short circuit.

Dealers will install sheathing over the wiring, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed beginning August 24, 2026.
