What Happened
The brake booster input rod retaining clip is a small metal piece that helps keep your brake system working properly. In some 2010 Chrysler Sebring, Dodge Avenger and Nitro, Jeep Liberty, Commander, and Grand Cherokee, and 2009-2010 Dodge Ram trucks, this clip might be missing or not formed correctly.
Risk if Unfixed
If the clip fails, your brakes could shut off suddenly without warning, making it hard to stop your vehicle and increasing the risk of a serious crash.
Free Fix
Your authorized Chrysler dealer will replace the faulty clip with a new one at no cost to you. This repair is free, and you should schedule it as soon as you get the recall notice.

CHRYSLER IS RECALLING CERTAIN MODEL YEAR 2010 CHRYSLER SEBRING; DODGE AVENGER AND NITRO; JEEP LIBERTY, COMMANDER AND GRAND CHEROKEE; AND MODEL YEAR 2009-2010 DODGE RAM TRUCK. THESE VEHICLES MAY HAVE BEEN BUILT WITH AN IMPROPERLY FORMED OR MISSING BRAKE BOOSTER INPUT ROD RETAINING CLIP.
