What Happened
The power steering hose in your vehicle is the flexible tube that helps you turn the wheels. In some 2.4L engine models, this hose can rub against the transmission, causing damage.
Risk if Unfixed
If the hose is damaged, it could leak power steering fluid, which can ignite and cause a fire under the hood. This is a serious risk, especially if you're driving or stopped on a road.
Free Fix
Your dealer will inspect the power steering hose and move it away from the transmission, or replace it if necessary, at no cost to you. They'll also check the hose connection to make sure it's secure.
