What Happened
The driver's air bag in your Enclave, Traverse, or Acadia is a crucial safety feature that deploys in a crash. Unfortunately, there's a chance it wasn't made correctly and could explode when it's supposed to protect you.
Risk if Unfixed
If this happens, sharp metal fragments could fly towards you or your passengers, causing severe injury or even death. This is a life-threatening situation that requires immediate attention.
Free Fix
Your dealership will replace the faulty air bag module with a safe one – at no cost to you. They'll do this repair as soon as you schedule it, and you can reach them at the phone numbers listed in your recall notice.

Original — What Happened
General Motors, LLC (GM) is recalling certain 2014-2017 Buick Enclave, Chevrolet Traverse, and GMC Acadia vehicles. The driver's air bag inflator may explode during deployment, due to a manufacturing defect.
Original — Risk if Unfixed
An inflator explosion may result in sharp metal fragments striking the driver or other occupants, resulting in serious injury or death.
Original — Remedy
Dealers will replace the driver's air bag module, free of charge. GM began mailing final owner letters February 23, 2024 and will continue mailing through December 2025. Owners may contact Buick customer service at 1-800-521-7300, Chevrolet customer service at 1-800-222-1020, or GMC customer service at 1-800-462-8782. GM's number for this recall is N232404980.

The driver's air bag in your Buick Enclave or Chevrolet Traverse is a safety feature that deploys in a crash to protect you. Unfortunately, some of these air bags were made with a faulty part that could explode during deployment.

What Happened
The side curtain air bags in your Enclave, Traverse, or Acadia are designed to protect you in a rollover or side impact. Unfortunately, some of these air bags might not be securely attached.
Risk if Unfixed
If the side curtain air bags aren't properly attached, they might not deploy as they should in a severe crash. This could leave you more vulnerable to injury.
Free Fix
Your dealer will inspect the air bag attachment points and make any necessary adjustments or replacements, free of charge, as soon as you get the recall notice.

General Motors, LLC (GM) is recalling certain 2010-2015, 2017 Buick Enclave, 2010-2019 Chevrolet Traverse, and 2011-2016 GMC Acadia vehicles. The side curtain air bags may not be properly attached.
Original — Risk if Unfixed
Unsecured side curtain air bags may not perform as intended, increasing the risk of injury.

GM will notify owners, and dealers will inspect and, if necessary, realign or replace the weld nuts, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed on May 24, 2021.
