ELECTRONIC STABILITY CONTROL (ESC)

Manufacturer
BMW of North America, LLC
What Happened
Your vehicle's integrated brake (IB) system is a critical part that helps control your brakes and prevent skidding. In some 2023-2024 BMW models, this system can malfunction, causing brake assist to fail or the ABS and DSC systems to stop working.
Risk if Unfixed
If the IB system fails, you could lose power brake assist, making it harder to stop your vehicle. The ABS and DSC systems might also not work properly, which could cause your vehicle to lose control, increasing the risk of a crash.
Free Fix
BMW will replace the faulty IB module with a new one, free of charge, at your local dealership. You should schedule the repair as soon as you get the recall notice to ensure your safety on the road.
