POWER TRAIN:DRIVELINE:CONSTANT VELOCITY JOINT

The CV joint is like a flexible elbow that connects your transmission to your wheels, helping you turn and steer. In your 2011-2012 BMW, the CV joint could wear out and break, causing problems.
Risk if Unfixed
If the CV joint fails, your car could lose power and you might not be able to control it, which could lead to a crash.
Free Fix
Your BMW dealer will inspect the CV joint and replace it with a new one, if necessary, at no cost to you. You'll receive a notification when the repair is ready, and you should schedule it as soon as possible.

POWER TRAIN:DRIVELINE:DRIVESHAFT

Manufacturer
BMW OF NORTH AMERICA, LLC
What Happened
The driveshaft in your car is like a long rod that connects your transmission to your wheels. In some 2011 BMW 328i and 335i models, the bolts that hold the driveshaft in place might not have been tightened correctly.
Risk if Unfixed
If these bolts come loose, you could lose power to the front wheels, making it hard to steer or accelerate. This could cause your car to break down, increasing the risk of a crash.
Free Fix
Your BMW dealer will tighten the bolts securely, and if necessary, replace them, completely free of charge. You should schedule the repair as soon as you get the recall notice.
