Component
FUEL SYSTEM, GASOLINE:DELIVERY:HOSES, LINES/PIPING, AND FITTINGS
Manufacturer
Volkswagen of America, Inc.
What Happened
The fuel lines in your Audi S6 or S7 are the tubes that carry gasoline from the tank to the engine. In some 2013-2014 models with 4.0L engines, these lines might not be sealed properly, which can cause them to leak fuel.
Risk if Unfixed
If the fuel line leaks and there's an ignition source nearby, like a spark from the engine, it could catch fire. This is a serious risk that could lead to a fire in or around your vehicle.
Free Fix
Your Audi dealer will replace the faulty fuel line with a new one, and this repair will be done free of charge. You'll receive a notification when the recall begins, but you can also contact Audi of America at 1-800-822-2834 if you'd like to schedule the repair sooner.
