What Happened
The brake fluid reservoir cap in your vehicle is used to keep the right type of brake fluid in your system. In some 2021 Audi models and certain 2019-2021 models, the cap might have been labeled incorrectly, which could lead to the wrong fluid being used.
Risk if Unfixed
If the wrong brake fluid is used, your brakes could become less effective, making it harder to stop your vehicle. This could increase the risk of a crash, especially in emergency situations.
Free Fix
Your Audi dealer will check the brake fluid reservoir cap and replace it if it's the wrong one, at no cost to you. You should schedule the repair when you get the recall notice, which will be mailed on October 17, 2023.

What Happened
The rear seat belt retractors in your vehicle are designed to automatically lock in place to keep your child's seat secure. Unfortunately, in some 2021 Volkswagen and Audi models, these retractors can fail to lock early, which means the child restraint system may not work properly.
Risk if Unfixed
If the retractor fails to lock, your child's safety seat may not be secure, which could increase the risk of injury to your child in the event of a crash.
Free Fix
Your authorized Volkswagen or Audi dealer will inspect and replace the rear seat belt assemblies for free. This is a free repair, and you should schedule it as soon as you get the recall notice.
