What Happened
The instrument panel display in your vehicle is the screen that shows you speed, warning lights, and other important information. In some 2021 Audi models, a software glitch could cause this display to shut down.
Risk if Unfixed
If the display fails while you're driving, you won't be able to see critical safety info like your speed or warning lights. This could increase the risk of a crash.
Free Fix
Audi will update the software for your instrument panel display at no cost to you. Schedule the update with your Audi dealer as soon as you get the recall notice.

Original — What Happened
Volkswagen Group of America, Inc. (Audi) is recalling certain 2021 SQ8, A6 SEDAN, A7, A8, Q7, Q8, RS6 Avant, RS7, RSQ8, S6 SEDAN, S7, S8, A6 Allroad, and SQ7 vehicles. Due to a software error, the instrument panel display may fail.
Original — Risk if Unfixed
An instrument panel display that fails to show critical safety information, such as the speedometer or warning lights, increases the risk of a crash.

Dealers will update the instrument panel module software, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed April 24, 2025. Owners may contact Audi customer service at 1-800-253-2834. Audi's number for this recall is 90VC.

What Happened
The gateway control module in your Audi is a computer that helps control your vehicle's systems. It's located in the rear seat area, and if liquid spills in there, it could get damaged.
Risk if Unfixed
If the gateway control module fails, your engine power will drop suddenly while you're driving, making it harder to control your vehicle and increasing the risk of a crash.
Free Fix
Your Audi dealer will install a protective cover to prevent liquid from reaching the gateway control module, all at no cost to you. You'll get a recall notice in the mail on January 20, 2023, and you can also contact Audi's customer service at 1-800-253-2834 for more information.

What Happened
The fuel level sensor in your vehicle is a small unit that tells your dashboard how much gas you have left. In some 2020-2022 models, this sensor can get stuck, giving you an incorrect reading on your dashboard.
Risk if Unfixed
If the sensor is stuck, you might think you have more gas than you actually do. This could cause your engine to stall, especially on long trips or when driving at high speeds, which increases the risk of a crash.
Free Fix
Your Audi dealer will replace the faulty sensor with a new one, and this service is completely free. You should schedule the repair as soon as you receive the recall notice.
